I have been a semi-professional storyteller since 1994. I love telling stories that involve the audience, with song, rhythms, chanting, animal noises; and sharing the handling of animal puppets for the African tales. I have told stories to school audiences, in libraries, at Festivals, on the radio, in preschools, in Retirement homes, and I run workshops on how to craft your own stories. I've been an active member of the Hawke’s Bay Storytellers Club, and since 1999 in the Auckland Storytellers Club. My favourite aspect of storytelling is watching people move into their own worlds of the imagination as my story words lead them to places far away and long ago.
