THE STORIES
Stories told range from folk to original and
personal stories. They have universal, timeless themes and strong central
characters.
Clare-Louise has a particular interest in the future of this
beautiful planet we have the privilege to inhabit and some stories reflect
this.
STYLE
Clare-Louise's drama background is sometimes incorporated
into her performances.
Her style is adapted for each individual story. Song, humour, movement,
characterisation and interaction are interespersed and tempered with
stillness, narration, and quiet, powerful, poignant moments.
A
BIT OF BACKGROUND

Science in 1985, Clare-Louise
then branched into the performing arts by completing a WINGS alternative
theatre course in Auckland, and courses at the Auckland Dramatic Academy and
gained valuable skills which she incorporates into her storytelling today.
On returning to Napier in 1992, Clare Louise established herself as
a storyteller. In 1995 she joined the New Zealand Guild of Storytellers
and became part of the Hawke's Bay Storytellers' group.
In 2002
Clare-Louise trained and qualified as a secondary school teacher.

- no matter your age, ethnicity, gender or abilities.....
My next project - when I get time - is to form a Junior Storytelling
Club!!"
